6 Suggestions for Child-Friendly Nature Tourism in Bandung

1. Dago Dream Park
Spread over an area of about 13 hectares, Dago Dream Park offers a view of the mountains with various photo spots such as the Alladin Carpet, the Sky Tree, the Sky Bike, the Up House, the Love Seat and the Flying Lounge. There are also other attractions such as Flying Fox, Kora-Kora and ATV. Since its opening in 2016, Dago Dreampark has been developing rapidly and attracting many tourists from home and abroad. Ranca Upas is a popular recreational destination because it has an interesting deer sanctuary. Visitors can also camp in the area. During the holiday season, this place becomes a magnet for tourists. Some of the interesting attractions here include hot springs, outbound areas and beautiful views of vast plantations. Located on Jalan Raya Ciwidey-Patenggang in Ciwidey, Ranca Upas entrance fees range from Rp10,000 to Rp15,000.
3. Orchid Forest Cikole
Orchid Forest Cikole in Lembang was opened in August 2007 and is located on approximately 14 hectares of land owned by the Forestry Public Company (Perum Perhutani). The abundance of pine trees creates an ideal place for children to learn about nature, a perfect destination for a family outing.
The ticket price for local visitors is Rp47,500 including insurance Rp7,500 and Rp10,000 meal voucher which can be exchanged at the food court area. International visitors are charged Rp100.000. This price includes admission to the Orchid House, Shuttle and Rabbit Forest.
4. The Nice Park Bandung
The Nice Park at Colonel Masturi Road in Jambupida, Cisarua, West Bandung is a place for outdoor tourism, playing and learning that is suitable for children. There is also a mini zoo where children can feed the animals. Surrounded by large trees and natural views, the area offers a playground area with flying fox, rainbow side, swings, mini roller coaster, a bike track, and many others, including a special play area for toddlers under 5 years old. Tickets start at Rp30,000.
5. De’Ranch Lembang
This American cowboy-style tourist spot provides horses, rides, and photo op in cowboy costumes. Children can interact with animals such as horses, cows and sheep. Apart from that, De Ranch also has play facilities such as bicycles and cable cars that can be enjoyed with the family. The entrance fee is only Rp15,000 and can be exchanged for pure milk from De’Ranch farm. This facility operates from 09:00 to 17:00.
6. Jendela Alam
Jendela Alam or Nature’s Window is an ideal educational tourist destination for kids to learn about nature and the environment directly. Located on working farm and ranch land, it offers a variety of recreational activities for children. Pintu Alam is equipped with various educational games, including a playground, swimming pool and outbound area. Entrance ticket prices start from Rp20,000 per person on Monday-Friday, and Rp25,000 per person on Saturday-Sunday and holidays.
