US couple travel almost 4,000 miles to elope in traditional Irish pub
The couple travelled all the way from North Carolina, USA, to elope in Ireland and stopped by a popular city pub to celebrate
A couple traveled 3,700 miles to get married in Galway City in Ireland and celebrated at a well-known local pub.
The American couple, Dawn and Darren, traveled all the way from North Carolina to tie the knot in Co Galway, and they visited Garavan’s Bar on William Street to mark the occasion. The beloved establishment has always been a favorite of Darren’s. Garavan’s posted a photo of the newlyweds on their social media.
They said: “A huge congratulations to Dawn and Darren, who came all the way from North Carolina to elope here in Ireland today!”
“Garavan’s has always been Darren’s favorite bar in Galway, so we were absolutely delighted that they chose to stop in and celebrate such a special day with us.

In other news, a well-known Galway eatery is offering €2 (about $2.30) burgers until they run out before relocating to two new spots.
Smashbird on Dominick Street has revealed their latest promotion which kicks off at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The €2 offer is to mark their second anniversary along with the news that they will be launching in two new locations. In an Instagram post they mentioned that it would be their final birthday on Dominick Street.
They expressed gratitude to all of their patrons as they “made Smashbird what it was”.
The complete post read: “€2 BURGERS TONIGHT!
“Kicking off from 5PM until they’re sold out – celebrating our 2nd birthday and announcing 2 new locations coming soon! This will sadly be our last birthday on Dominick Street – but what a ride it’s been.
“Huge thank you to every single person who’s walked through our doors over the past 2 years. You made Smashbird what it is.”
