How travelling 4000+ miles opened up my third eye (and heart)

How travelling 4000+ miles opened up my third eye (and heart)

Saint Lucia isn’t just another dreamy Caribbean island shrouded in white-sand beaches, wild jungle trails and those iconic Pitons you’ve seen all over your Instagram (side note: they are worth seeing, but more on that below). It’s also a place to reset, reconnect, and – if you’re ready – maybe even open your third eye. *Insert mystic soundtrack, here*

I went searching for sun, smoothies, and serenity. What I found was a soul-nourishing experience at StolenTime, Saint Lucia’s adults-only, all-inclusive sanctuary, and a spiritual retreat led by none other than the Psychic Sisters – yes, the ones from Selfridges and known for celebrity clients like Kim Kardashian. Tarot cards, moon manifestation, aura readings and beach yoga? Go on then.

So, whether you’re here for a psychic awakening or just a very luxe escape, here’s your cosmic Cosmo guide (see what I did there) to living your best life in Saint Lucia…

Everyone’s clicking on…

Where to stay

StolenTime

Let’s cut to the chase: If you’re going all the way to Saint Lucia to unwind, this is where you want to do it. StolenTime is not your average all-inclusive resort. It’s adults-only (read: no cannonballs in the pool), utterly peaceful, and hyper-focused on emotional well-being. Think yoga at sunrise, a spa tucked into a lush water garden, fitness classes, meditation zones, and cultured nightly entertainment that won’t make your ears bleed.

You’ll find authentic in architecture beachside rooms, ocean-view terraces, infinity pools, a lazy river and a drinks menu that somehow balances green juice and champagne with divine equality.

Rates start from $585 (US dollars) for solo travellers or $1,009 for couples, and it’s all-inclusive – we’re talking food, drinks, movement classes, personal instruction for sports, and even motorised water sports. You just show up. The rest is handled.

Want to level up your stay? Enter: The Psychic Sisters Retreat

If you, like me, love a spa day but secretly want to unlock your intuitive gifts, this is your moment. Coming in 2026 (and guinea pigged by moi this year, hence the review!), StolenTime is opening up their Spiritual Awakening Retreat in collaboration with London’s legendary Psychic Sisters – yes, thee Psychic Sisters, led by the famously intuitive Jayne Wallace, who counts celebs like Kim Kardashian among her fans.

This isn’t just a retreat – it’s a recalibration of the soul. You’ll:

  • Learn how to manifest like a moon goddess
  • Read and work with crystals and tarot cards
  • Carry out aura drawings to understand your energy
  • Practice flower reading, intuitive tapping, and more
  • Join moon manifestation rituals under the stars

Plus, if you’ve wanted to find out whether or not you really are psychic, spoiler alert: you’ll find out. (Though sadly, predicting the lottery numbers is still off the table – it’s less ‘winning the EuroMillions’ and more tuning into your inner wisdom and learning to trust your intuition.)

tarot cards stolentime saint lucia retreat

And the best part? You’ll meet like-minded people who are on the exact same journey as you – open, curious, and craving something deeper. I left with more than just a tan and a new tarot deck… I made friends I genuinely hope to have for life.

Now, beyond the surface-level pretty pictures, let’s get real. I didn’t expect to cry on a Tuesday morning in paradise, but I did. Not in a dramatic, mascara-running-down-your-face kind of way, but in that quiet, cleansing kind of cry that sneaks up on you when you’re finally safe enough to let go (that, or maybe I’m just an emotional Leo with a Virgo rising… you decide).

The retreat sessions, especially the guided meditations and aura readings, hit a nerve but in the best way possible. It was emotional, yes, but held in the most supportive, comforting environment. We weren’t just talking chakras and crystals; we were confronting feelings, patterns, past versions of ourselves and reconnecting with spiritual messages from ‘the other side’.

Somehow, it felt like exactly what I needed. And if you, too, are seeking a sense of guidance with a side of woo-woo, this might be what you need.

More info on the week-long retreat below (subject to change).

What to do

Even if you’re busy aligning your chakras, Saint Lucia deserves to be explored. Whether you’re feeling adventurous or just spiritually curious, here’s what to add to your itinerary.

Wellness and soulful experiences

Beach yoga and meditation

You’ll find both on-site at StolenTime. These morning rituals hit different when you’re oceanside and zen’d out from your aura drawing the day before.

Moon manifestation ceremony

Part of the Psychic Sisters retreat, this full moon ritual is sacred. Guided by Jayne, you’ll learn to burn your intentions (safely), realign your energy, and manifest your best life.

Spa in the Water Garden

StolenTime’s signature spa is tucked away in a dreamy botanical enclave. Book a signature massage or opt for astrology-themed treatments curated by The AstroTwins.

Tai Chi, pilates, and aqua fit

You’ll find a full timetable of gentle movement classes included in your stay. Because stretching counts as sightseeing when you do it in paradise.

Nature and adventure

StolenTime offers excursions, some of which are included in the all-inclusive price tag, but others require additional payment. Either way, the concierge is happy to help organise whatever it is you may want to explore.

Hike the Pitons

Gros Piton is the ‘easier’ of the two – if you can even call it easy. Go early, take water, and prepare to sweat out the toxins of your past life. The views are worth every step.

Sulphur springs and mud bath

This is the only drive-in volcano in the world. The one downside? It smells like rotten eggs, feels like rebirth. Aside from that, you can slather mud all over your body and rinse off in the hot springs to come out looking like a new you.

Snorkelling

Marine reserves, coral reefs, fish that look like they were coloured in by a five-year-old with glitter pens. Bring your waterproof phone case.

Sunset boat cruise

There are few better ways to absorb the magic of Saint Lucia than floating along its west coast at sunset. Bubbly = mandatory, I didn’t make the rules.

Dolphin spotting

Hop on a catamaran or a speedboat tour and keep your eyes on the waves – spinner dolphins often leap alongside the boat like they’ve been hired to perform just for you. It’s equal parts exhilarating and adorable. Whales can sometimes be spotted, too.

Where to eat

Let’s be clear, just because you’re opening up your third eye (and heart) with crystals and tarot, doesn’t mean you have to skip dessert. Saint Lucia’s food scene is a blend of Afro-Caribbean flavour, French influence, tropical freshness and total indulgence.

At StolenTime

Malabar Beach Club

Fresh seafood served with your toes in the sand. Expect grilled mahi mahi, local spices, and staff who get your coconut water and white wine needs before you do.

Thyme restaurant

For something more refined, this open-air restaurant blends Saint Lucian flavours with international flair. Also, divine lighting for that “holiday glow” selfie.

Stolen Moments (main buffet)

Their rotating wellness menu changes by the season and the mood. One night, it’s all plant-based. The next? A very cheeky chocolate lava cake.

Remember: Everything you eat here is designed to nourish. Want the smoothie and the mojito? Do it. It’s a retreat, not a bootcamp.

Outside the resort

If you can bear to leave your wellness bubble, Saint Lucia has plenty of foodie delights.

Anse La Raye Fish Fry (Fridays)

Street food, reggae, dancing, and grilled lobster fresh off the boat. It’s chaotic in the best way.

Orlando’s restaurant and bar

Located in Soufrière, a town on the West Coast of Saint Lucia, Orlando’s is all about Caribbean fine dining with a local twist. Every plate tells a story, and yes, it tastes as good as it looks.

Castries market

Sample local fruit, spices, and snack on freshly made roti as you people-watch. Bring cash, curiosity, and appetite.

What I learned

My primary takeaway? I don’t have the psychic gift of the gab… Unfortunately, I could not tune into spirit messages (it is what I believe to be a talent you’re either born with or not). That said, I did step out of my comfort zone by not only attempting to learn new skills in how to read tarot and crystals (practice makes perfect), but also flying over 40,00 miles across the world in the company of complete strangers – who are now my friends. As the old adage goes: You never know until you try!
